Gold Coin Purse

I DID NOT MAKE THIS PURSE

I am helping a friend of mine settle her grandmothers estate. Grandmother had pounds and pounds of costume jewelry and various other nifty bits and pieces, and my friend A has told me "Take what you like, it's your payment!"



Anyway, in the course of sorting through her grandmothers vast collection of purses, I found this coin purse. In the course of my adult life I've only ever seen two or three of these 1920's or so coin purses, and they were silver, and very beaten up and in poor condition. This one, as near as I can determine, is actual gold. It weighs right, a very careful cutting of a single soldered ring under a magnifying glass reveals that the rings are the same color all the way through, and they are soft as can be. This purse has been very well cared for over the course of its life, there's not a single ring out of place. I'll be taking it to get professionally cleaned as soon as I have the money, I'm not about to put it on my buffing wheel.

Purse measures approximately 3.5 inches long, and 3 inches wide at the base.
